This website has been created to document and preserve the history of Sherwell Manufacturing Pty Ltd and the work of its founder, Raymond George Sherwell.

The material presented here is drawn from the photographs, documents, newspaper reports, and archival records associated with the company, together with information held within the Sherwell Family. This site has been developed and curated by the Sherwell Family with the aim of providing an accurate, historical account of a regional Australian manufacturing business, and it’s contribution to agricultural engineering.

Sherwell Manufacturing Pty Ltd operated in Nhill, Victoria, and its products were distributed across Australia. Despite the scale, an impact of the business, relatively little information has been recorded in publicly accessible sources. This website seeks to address the gap, by bringing together historical material in a permanent and access form.
